Mascot costume cleaning and repair

Costumes smell, seams tear, fur mats. All of that can be fixed before anyone notices — and long before you need a new costume.

We come to you. Your costume is not shipped anywhere and does not have to be handed over. For a mascot that exists exactly once, that is the only way nothing can go missing.

What we work on

• Thorough cleaning of head and body
• Fur brushed out and refreshed
• Repairs to seams, zips and fastenings
• Condition report with photos
• Logistics and travel agreed in advance
• Odour in the head and lining
• Matted and flattened fur

What can be repaired depends on the damage — an open seam is one thing, a torn vision mesh another. So we tell you beforehand what we can and cannot do, rather than deciding on site. Smaller damage we catch immediately: a repair kit comes with us to every booking, performances included.

What it costs

All prices are starting prices. What a booking actually costs depends above all on duration: one appearance block at a club event is a different thing from a trade-fair day with six of them. Add to that the work for choreography or filming, if you need it. Send us the date, the location and the planned duration — and you get a firm figure, not a range.

Larger repairs are agreed in advance. You get a figure before we start — not afterwards.

How it works

   Enquiry with photos

   Send us pictures of the costume and tell us what is wrong with it. We tell you what is possible and what it costs — and how we get to you.

   An appointment at your place

   We arrive with everything we need. You provide the room — more on that below.

3. 3

   Cleaning and repair on site

   Head and body separately, fur brushed out and refreshed, lining done thoroughly. Seams and fastenings in the same pass, as far as the damage allows.

4. 4

   Handover with a report

   The costume stays where it belongs. Along with it: what was done, and what will need doing soon, before it gets expensive.

What we need on site

• A closed room we can use for the duration of the appointment.
• No windows — or windows with blinds that close.
• A water supply.
• A power socket.

The closed, unobserved room is not a comfort request. A mascot without its head destroys the character for anyone who sees it — when changing before a performance just as much as during care, when the costume is lying there in pieces.
